About the Role
HBSPL is looking for a skilled Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain reliable, secure, and scalable server-side applications. The role involves building backend services, developing RESTful APIs, managing databases, and integrating application components to ensure smooth system functionality. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of backend programming, database management, application security, and performance optimization. They will work closely with frontend developers and other technical teams to deliver efficient software solutions, troubleshoot technical issues, and continuously improve application quality and reliability.
Roles & Responsibilities of Backend Developer
- Develop, test, and maintain server-side applications and backend services.
- Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs for web applications.
- Create and manage databases, ensuring data accuracy, security, and performance.
- Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code following development best practices.
- Identify and resolve bugs, performance issues, and backend system errors.
- Implement authentication, authorization, and data protection measures.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, UI/UX designers, and other team members.
- Optimize application performance and support scalable backend architecture.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and deployment activities.
- Maintain technical documentation and contribute to continuous improvement.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in at least one backend programming language, such as Java, Python, Node.js, PHP, C++ or C#.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, HTTP protocols, and server-side application development.
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL; knowledge of MongoDB is an advantage.
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, data validation, and application security.
- Familiarity with Git, version control, debugging, and testing practices.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, Docker, CI/CD, or microservices is an added advantage.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software development principles.
Education Qualification
Bachelor or Master degree in BE, B.Tech and B.Sc or a related field. Relevant technical knowledge and practical backend development skills are also valued.
Experience
Candidates should have relevant experience in backend development, server-side programming, API integration, and database management. Experience requirements will depend on the candidate’s technical skills and the complexity of the projects handled.
