About Data Engineer Jobs at HBSPL
HBSPL is looking for a skilled Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain reliable data pipelines and data processing systems. The role involves collecting, transforming, and organising data from multiple sources to support analytics and business operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of SQL, programming, database systems, and data integration. They will work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and other technical teams to ensure data quality, availability, and efficient processing.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
- Collect, clean, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources
- Develop and optimise SQL queries for efficient data processing and retrieval.
- Work with relational and non-relational databases to manage structured and unstructured data.
- Monitor data pipelines, troubleshoot issues, and maintain data accuracy and consistency.
- Implement data validation and quality checks to ensure reliable datasets.
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and software developers to understand data requirements.
- Improve data processing performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Maintain technical documentation for data workflows, pipelines, and database processes.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
- Proficiency in a programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline development.
- Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of data modelling, data transformation, and data quality practices.
- Understanding of data warehousing and data integration concepts.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is an advantage.
- Knowledge of tools such as Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, or Kafka is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and document technical processes.
Education Qualification
A Bachelor or Master degree in BE, B.Tech and B.Sc or a related field is preferred. Candidates with relevant technical skills and practical data engineering experience may also be considered.
Experience
Candidates should have relevant experience in data engineering, data pipeline development, ETL/ELT processes, database management, or related technical areas. The required experience will depend on the candidate’s technical skills and project exposure.
