About the Role
HBSPL is looking for a Data Scientist to analyze complex datasets, build Machine learning models, develop predictive solutions, and generate actionable business insights. This role is suitable for professionals with up to 3 years of experience in Data Science, along with a good understanding of statistics, programming, and machine learning.
As a Data Scientist, you will work across different stages of the data science process, from preparing and exploring data to developing models and presenting findings. You will also work closely with internal teams to understand business requirements and use data to support better decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze datasets to identify useful trends, patterns, and business insights.
- Understand business requirements and develop suitable data science solutions.
- Build, test, and improve machine learning and predictive models.
- Handle data cleaning, preprocessing, feature engineering, and exploratory analysis.
- Apply statistical and machine learning techniques for business forecasting and decision-making.
- Evaluate model performance and make improvements when needed.
- Use SQL to extract and analyze data from databases.
- Create visualizations, reports, and dashboards to present findings clearly.
- Collaborate with technical, analytics, and business teams on projects.
- Document analysis, models, methods, and project results.
- Improve existing models, processes, and data-driven solutions.
- Keep up with developments in Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI.
Required Skills
Candidates should have strong knowledge and practical experience in:
- Python or R
- Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn
- SQL and relational databases
- Statistics and Probability
- Machine Learning algorithms and concepts
- Exploratory Data Analysis and data preprocessing
- Feature engineering and model selection
- Model evaluation and validation techniques
- Data visualization using Matplotlib, Seaborn, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
- Git / Version Control
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Experience with Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Generative AI, or MLOps will be an added advantage.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in BE, B.tech and B.Sc or a related field.
- Candidates from other educational backgrounds with strong relevant professional experience in Data Science may also be considered.
- Relevant professional certifications in Data Science, Machine Learning, Cloud, or Analytics will be an added advantage.
Experience
Candidates with prior experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Analytics, or a related field may also apply.
